Specialty: Treatment of Chronic Stress & Related Disorders
One of Anna Palucci Young's main specialties is finding the root cause of imbalance in the body due to toxic stress and/or chronic stress.
If you are already working with a psychotherapist, the above modalities can help to support and accelerate your progress in therapy. Eastern medicine modalities can be helpful whether or not you are taking medications for anxiety, depression, pain or other distressing symptoms. In time and with your doctor's guidance, it may be possible for you to reduce or eliminate some of your medications.
- To function optimally, the body needs to have sufficient amounts of rest and relaxation. If you have experienced overwhelming amounts of stress, you may find that even though you have the intention to rest and relax, your body is unable to do so. You may find that you feel yourself in a constant state of agitation or conversely, you may find that you are so chronically exhausted that you are unable to get through your day in the way you would like.
- If you have experienced unrelenting, continued exposure to toxic chronic stress, your body's Autonomic Nervous System (Sympathetic - Fight or Flight, Parasympathetic - Rest and Digest) can become dysregulated. Some of the common disorders/syndromes that may occur are:
- Digestive Disorders
- Sleep Disorders
- Anxiety and Mood Disorders
- Autoimmune Disorders
- Chronic Pain Syndromes
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- If you find yourself struggling with distressing symptoms, physical and emotional, which are keeping you from living joyfully and pain-free, acupuncture, acupressure, herbal formulas and other Eastern medicine modalities, can help to bring your body, mind and spirit back into balance.
- These gentle, but clinically effective modalities, can assist in reminding your body of its innate ability to return to equilibrium and balance.
- A customized treatment tailored to your specific needs and unique health goals will be created for you. This treatment plan will focus, not only on alleviating symptoms, but on resolving the root cause of the imbalance(s) which motivated you to seek treatment.

I am amazed and humbled daily by the depth and breadth of this medicine. As I work with my clients, it is always clear to me that I am simply a guide using time honored traditions to co-create a unique path to healing and self-discovery.
I have had the privilege of treating clients using Eastern Medicine (EM) since 2007. It has been and continues to be a vocation which I deeply love and enjoy. Throughout the years I have treated many different health issues fromchronic sinusitis to cancer support. Each person I work with has unique health needs and goals. EM is a system which enables customized treatment plans to meet those individual needs and goals. I look forward to working with you and helping you to achieve optimal health and well-being. |
